According the report by Skift, nearly 59 % of people would like to add bleisure trips while traveling, blending business travel with leisure. Also, on the basis of Travel Weekly's 2016 Consumer Trends report, the percentage of leisure trips that have a business component jumped to 17% this year, compared with 11% in 2012 and 14% last year. Simultaneously, for the intent purpose of travel in 2017, mixing business with leisure trip is more than 70%, which is growing faster than other types of travel and becoming more popular for people willing to add and extend a business trip to include leisure time with traveling.

There are 57% of mid-aged businessmen prefer to bring a pair of formal dress shoes for bleisure travel. Also, there are 25% like to bring semi-formal and recreation style shoes during their trips. According to research, it shows dress shoes are the most popular style for mid-aged businessmen to wear and bring to travel.

In the research, more than 50% of mid-aged businessmen wear one pair of shoes and pack one for bleisure travel. 40% of businessmen bring one pair with them. They said one pair of dress shoes and one casual shoes, such as sandals or sneakers, are the best solution for bleisure travel.

However, some of them would like to go out for exercise or running on the treadmill at gym. Based on the research, there are 44% of mid-aged people go to hotel gym for exercise, and the others who just stay in the room.

Compared to adults and young adults, mid-aged businessmen are care less about shoes’ aesthetics. Instead, they are more concerned about the functionality. They would like to wear shoes that are comfortable and light.
